Cosmic horror

The Asylum is a fitting location for Cosmic horror for the following reasons:

1. It is one of the primary locations for scientists, and in Marloth, scientists are the primary explorers of Cosmic horror.
2. Madness is a core theme of Cosmic horror.
3. In modern fiction, Asylums are common focal points for invasion from nightmare dimensions.
   1. Part of this is due to Asylum’s being a gathering place for people who have witnessed the otherworldly horrors.
   2. Part of this is due to an occasional mechanic where there are supernatural phenomena only insane people can see. (Or they are driven insane because they can see them.)
   3. Part of this is Asylum’s are secluded from the rest of the world, making them effective settings for alien gateways.
