Increasingly I’m growing suspicious that community is an essential attribute of what I’m modeling, and the narrative would be subtly dysfunctional without it.
At the same time, community may simply be incongruent with the Marloth setting.
I like the idea of quirky neighbors that are challenging to live with but can also help in times of need.
Neighbors are also an important part of the cozy aesthetic. I personally don’t feel like a lone cabin in the middle of the woods is as cozy as a cabin in a forest neighborhood.
Community requires stability.
Without stability, community collapses.
Community is a continuum.
Two cornerstones of community are ancestors and progeny.
Both need to be valued for community to thrive.
