Normally, stability is the foundation and dynamics are built on top of that foundation.
But what if I turned that relationship on its head?
Instead of the normal story contrast of “fly-in-the-ointment intrudes upon serene stability”, what if stability is the alien force?
I’ve already been toying with the idea of having Adelle be a homemaker that can miraculously turn anywhere into a cozy home, but have been hesitant to rely on that mechanic.
But what if I can? What if I can make that a central feature of the story? How far can I run with it?
It fits the core themes of Marloth.
I’ve already been inspired to make James more of a window, what if I did the same with Adelle, in her own way, providing her own flavor of charity?
With that idea, it may be possible to responsibly let loose with a dynamic storyline (Wildly evolving plot).
I’ve been hesitant to give in to such a direction because it is dangerous. It is very easy for that approach to slip into depicting reckless, immature individuals that won’t settle down—people who go on adventures instead of facing reality.
