I like the idea of James and Adelle living in a house in the wilderness.
However, this poses a few problems:
The more I think about it, I think I may have gotten my metaphors mixed up. Much of this idea stems from the idea: “This is the road less traveled. It’s also my home.”
That quote is referring to work, not actual living space. Part of what I’m trying trying to setup in all of this is a dichotomy between chaotic work and stable home life. A healthy mix of static and dynamic.
So it seems like James and Adelle should have a more stable home, while James steps out each day into the wild. Maybe their home is on the edge of the wilderness.
And maybe I can still cheat a little and get something of a mix. That is this cozy horror aesthetic I’m trying to invent is all about.
Maybe it would be safer and better to approach from the other angle. Start with a secure home and see how much chaos I can place around it.
