As James and Adelle’s story (Story B) developed, I felt relief that I had something substantial to partially replace Nivana’s story with (Story A).

However, I keep running into cases where Story A excels at being a foil and setting the stage for Story B.

My intent with James and Adelle is to have them be main characters in the background.

I want to keep them off the center stage as much as possible.

Conversely, Nivana is someone who continually charges center stage.

There is some potential harmony in the way these characters take up separate frequencies in the spectrum.

With this dynamic, James may not always need to directly relate to Nivana, as long as she is jumping into the spotlight and they are involved in the general situation.

This configuration is similar to The Office. where Nivana is Michael and James and Adelle are Jim and Pam.
