Adelle is a communal character.
Her personality won’t fully thrive without community.
This in contrast with James, who is less communal.
As Adelle matures, I’m going to adjust her personality a little.
The Adelle of the first book was a spoiled and naive princess. She was very outgoing, spontaneous, and opinionated.
Now I want Adelle to be a little more subdued and considerate. This is a good opportunity to create a complex character where I can still throw in splashes of the younger Adelle, but the personality shift will still be a little greater than age can account for.
Also, while in the first book I was aiming for Adelle being an ENFJ, now I’m redesigning adult Adelle as an ESFJ. That’s not too much of a stretch since child Adelle can be loosely interpreted as an ESFJ already.
<aside> 💡 Part of this shift in direction is also due to marriage. Early Adelle is my imagined wife—now I want to impart in Adelle some of the qualities I cherish in my real wife.
